On August 16, firefighters were called to an apartment in Greenville, South Carolina, where Hayden Panettiere was staying with two other people. She was unconscious when firefighters arrived and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Forensic doctors have determined that at the time she had the opioid fentanyl, an anti-anxiety drug, muscle relaxants and a drug used to treat severe depression in her body.
Panettiere was 36 years old.
