Harvey Weinstein was on trial on suspicion of raping an actor in a hotel in 2013.
At a trial in 2020, he was convicted of that rape and two counts of sexual assault, but the verdict was overturned and the case had to be retried because of errors.
At the second trial of the case last year, he was convicted of one count of sexual assault but acquitted of the other. The jury could not agree on the rape charge, and the judge ordered a new trial.
Weinstein was previously convicted of rape in a separate case in California in 2022 and is serving a 16-year prison sentence, which he has appealed.
