Harvey Weinstein is suing his brother and former business partner Bob Weinstein, according to New York Post.
The former film mogul is accusing his brother and several other executives at their now-defunct film company of tricking him into guaranteeing a $45 million loan in 2016. They then embezzled money for their own use while conspiring to overthrow him, Weinstein claims.
Harvey Weinstein was sentenced to 23 years in prison in 2020 for rape and sexual assault. In total, more than 80 women have accused him of assault, harassment, or rape.
After his defense appealed the verdict to an appeals court, it was overturned last year and the trial is to be retried.
