The report is the latest in the war of words between the White House and Harvard. In a letter to the university's president Alan Garber, which Wall Street Journal has taken part of, the Trump administration's lawyers claim that an investigation shows that Jewish and Israeli students have felt threatened on the university campus.
The investigation means that Harvard during two years should have failed to act when students were offended and spat on. As a consequence, many of the students have hidden their identities out of fear of harassment. There should also have been anti-Semitic symbols on the university campus.
In the letter, it is stated that if the university does not "make immediate changes, it will lead to the forfeiture of all federal financial resources and continue to affect Harvard's relationship with the federal government".
Harvard rejects the allegations in a statement, reports the news agency AP.
"Anti-Semitism is a real problem and is unacceptable in any context. Harvard has taken extensive, preventive measures to address the root causes of anti-Semitism within its organization."
