And then he gets his title at last, Harry Kane. Or? It will take one of the greatest upsets of all time for Bayern München to miss the German league gold.

With four rounds left of the Bundesliga, Bayern has an eight-point lead over second-place Bayer Leverkusen. The league title could already be decided on Saturday.

If Bayern wins against Mainz and Leverkusen drops points against Augsburg, the matter is settled.

Goal machine Harry Kane, 31, has had an outstanding career but one that has not yet been rewarded with a single title.

If the English national team captain does not get to celebrate the league title on Saturday, he, being the patient person he is, is surely prepared to wait another week or two for the long-awaited trophy.

Kane has been scoring goals since he made the move from Tottenham to Bayern. Recently, he played his 60th league match for the German giant – and scored his 60th goal in the Bundesliga.

No other player has reached so many goals in so few matches.

Kane has been on the losing side in Champions League finals and English League Cup finals (twice) and lost with England in two European Championship finals.

Playing for Bayern Munich is as close to a title guarantee as you can get. But during his debut season 2023-2024, Bayern failed on all fronts.

No one deserves it (a title) more than he, said the club's honorary chairman Uli Hoeness to Sky earlier this week.
