National team defender Hanna Glas is heading west in the USA – she is switching clubs from Kansas City to Seattle, reports SVT Sport.
Glas joined Kansas City in the American NWSL league in February 2023, from Bayern München. However, a knee injury delayed her debut until the end of July this year, and now it's time for a new club.
Glas says, when speaking on the new club's website, that she is looking forward to showing what she can do in Seattle.
"I'm incredibly happy to be here. It's a wonderful opportunity to be part of a top-level club with a team full of talents."
Seattle's club manager Lesle Gallimore says:
"Her experience at both club and international level gives us the depth we need in the team as we aim to take a playoff spot."
Gallimore says that Glas has shown strength and the ability to return to elite level despite several serious injuries throughout her career.
