Major Banks Reduce Variable Mortgage Interest Rates

Handelsbanken and Danske Bank are joining other major banks and lowering the variable mortgage interest rate.

For Handelsbanken's part, it is about a reduction of 0.20 percentage points, which gives an interest rate of 3.84 percent for mortgages with 3 months' binding period.

For Danske Bank, it is at the same time about a reduction of 0.15 percentage points to 3.74 percent. Also regarding binding periods of 1, 3 and 5 years, a reduction takes place, however with 0.05 percentage points.

On Wednesday, Nordea, Swedbank and SEB also announced that they are lowering their variable mortgage rates by 0.20 percentage points.
