The alarm about a loud bang came in at 1:42 a.m. on Tuesday, something Göteborgs-Posten was first to report.
No one was injured in the explosion.
There is material damage in the form of broken windows on an outbuilding and on a parked car, says Göran Carlbom.
The area is cordoned off and the National Bomb Squad has been called in. The incident is being investigated as public destruction and a violation of the Flammable and Explosives Act. No one has been arrested.
