The recording of this year's Christmas calendar begins in March, which means that Hampus Nessvold will go directly from his role as co-host of Melodifestivalen with Gina Dirawi to another of SVT's biggest programs.
The concept is an original idea by Hampus Nessvold.
"If anyone thought there was too little Christmas spirit in last year's calendar, they'll get their fill now. This year's Christmas calendar goes all in on the Christmas theme - it's a warm, humorous story that I’m convinced will live up to the expectations of the many Christmas calendar fans," says Johanna Gårdare, program manager at SVT Drama, in a press release.
Hampus Nessvold plays lawyer Per who has forgotten to buy a present for his daughter Edith, whose birthday is on December 1. As he rushes through the forest to buy the present, he is magically taken to a new job - as Santa Claus at the North Pole.
Other roles include Joline Ingels Graham, Malin Persson and Rebecca Plymholt.
