It was Hammarby who started the better and just under half an hour into the first half they were rewarded. Svea Rehnberg boosted the green and white Champions League hopes when she headed in the opening goal from a corner.

The equaliser woke Juventus up and it only took ten minutes before Alba Redondo made it 1-1.

The draw would stand for the rest of normal time.

In extra time, Juventus' Remina Chiba stepped up and scored a dream goal to make it 2-1 when she smashed the ball in off the crossbar. Chiba then sealed the match by heading in the final goal to make it 3-1.

But there is still hope for European football for Hammarby. They enter the second qualifying round of the European Cup, which begins in September.
