"Bajen" led the game but didn't create any real chances.
"We're easy to read and not much is happening," striker Paulos Abraham told TV4 during the break.
The second half continued on the same path until there were just over 20 minutes remaining.
Then Victor Lind received a pass and beautifully scored to make it 1–0. Paulos Abraham increased the lead a few minutes later before Montader Madjed made it 3–0.
Hammarby is second in the Allsvenskan table, five points behind league leaders Sirius. Västerås is eighth.
