Amin Boudri was signed by Hammarby from Los Angeles FC in July in what was reported to be the Swedish league's most expensive signing of all time.
But in this weekend's derby loss to AIK (2-3), the 21-year-old midfielder suffered a knee injury and Boudri will miss several more matches, Hammarby now announces.
"Amin will continue the rehab training he has started, which means that he will not be available for matches for some time. However, the goal is for him to be available for games during the fall," Hammarby writes on its website .
With 11 rounds left to play, Sirius leads the table with 42 points. Hammarby is second with 36.
