It feels pretty empty, partly because we do not give three points to everyone who is here and watching, then it also feels like we are there but we do not have the margins on our side today, says Ellen Wangerheim in Aftonbladet's broadcast.

It was Hammarby who impressed most in terms of play during large parts of the match, even if United also had their chances.

But after an hour played, it was the away team that took the lead at 3 arena, when Elisabeth Terland got free in the penalty area and finished to 1–0.

”Low level”

After that, "Bajen" players thought that the Manchester team resorted to foul play.

The level of the referees is low, they (United players) lie down more than they stand up, the throw-ins take about a quarter of the entire match. But it just shows what a good team we are and that they have respect for us as a club, says Wangerheim.

They can think what they want to think, it's football and it's about being smart, replies United's Swedish midfielder Julia Zigiotti Olme.

Both Zigiotti Olme and Anna Sandberg got to start for United. Sandberg received medical treatment after just over 20 minutes played, but could then continue playing.

Qualifies for new tournament

United's new acquisition Fridolina Rolfö was not included in the squad due to injury, but was seen on the inner pitch after the match.

The loss means that Hammarby is out of the qualifying for Champions League, and instead gets to qualify for the new tournament Europa Cup.

Of course it's fun to continue meeting teams out in Europe, but it would have been more fun to be able to qualify for Champions League, says Wangerheim.

Manchester United is clear for the third qualifying round for Champions League, the draw for those matches is made on Sunday.

Bad day for Swedish teams

Rosengård also misses Champions League this season. The reigning Damallsvenskan champions lost to Belgian Leuven in their qualifying final.

At halftime, Rosengård was down 0–3. Goals in the second half by Emilia Larsson and Anam Imo improved the final score, but the Skåne team lost anyway with 2–3.

Also for Rosengård, qualifying for Europa Cup now awaits.
