Nice to bounce back after the derby last week, says two-goal scorer Julie Blakstad to Viaplay and refers to the 1-2 loss last time against Djurgården.
"Bajen" now tops the Damallsvenskan table with 45 points - two ahead of Häcken and three points ahead of third-place Malmö FF. The top contenders have, however, one match less played and meet in Malmö on Wednesday.
Away against Växjö, it was goal queen Ellen Wangerheim who showed the way with her 15th goal of the season in the 20th match minute.
With that, she is second in the Damallsvenskan scoring league after Häcken's superior Felicia Schröder, who has scored a somewhat unlikely 26 goals.
In the final stages of the first half, Bea Sprung extended the lead to 2-0, nicely played by Wangerheim.
In the second half, there was a goal explosion for the away team - signed by Hammarby's Norwegians. Julie Blakstad made it 3-0 on a corner early on and in the 52nd minute, the Norwegian extended the lead to 4-0 on a penalty. The full-back now stands at twelve goals for the season.
Vilde Hasund scored a dream goal to make it 5-0 in the 57th minute and eight minutes later came 6-0 through Emilie Joramo. Anna Jøsendal sealed the victory to 7-0 and thus Norwegian players scored five goals in the second half in Växjö.
