Hammarby Closes Gap on Mjällby in Allsvenskan Standings

Hammarby had no major difficulties in bringing home three points from the away match against IFK Norrköping in the football Allsvenskan. The Stockholmers won with 2–0.

A good performance, good away match. I think Norrköping is a good team with many good players, even if they are far down in the table, we still had respect for them, says team captain Nahir Besara to HBO Max.

Besara initiated the goal scoring early in the second half, when he managed to finish off his own header.

With half an hour left, Ibrahima Fofana added to 2–0 when he could slam in a rebound. It was the 22-year-old talent's first Allsvenskan goal.

The win means that Hammarby is catching up with Mjällby at the top of the Allsvenskan table. Mjällby leads with 46 points, Hammarby has 42. Third-place Elfsborg is on 35 points with one game less played.
