The hunt for Malmö FF at the top of the Allsvenskan continues.
But it took over 100 minutes of playing time against IFK Göteborg before Hammarby secured a three-pointer.
Montader Madjed, three-goal scorer in the cup last time, had to come on in the 80th minute.
And right at the end of the long added time, he delivered the pass that Jusef Erabi pushed in for a narrow 1–0 win.
This means that Hammarby has overtaken Djurgården and is second in the table during the international break.
Jusef is always there in the box, so I just try to put it in hard so that he's the first to get to it, says Madjed.
It was really nice. I got ten minutes and then I saw on the big screen that there were twelve minutes of added time, so I got a pretty long run-in.
There are nine matches left of the Allsvenskan season when the series resumes after the international break.
However, there are still nine points to Malmö FF.
But Hammarby has not given up yet, promises Montader Madjed.
Malmö usually are always there. But it's going to be fun and we'll meet them in one more match. We hope to catch up with them, but it's going to be tough, of course, he says.
