The formerly dominant Swedish women's side Rosengård - who won the Swedish championship in 2024 - barely managed to keep up last year when Hammarby finished second behind Häcken.
Rosengård also had a tough start to the 2026 season in front of 3,666 spectators at Arena 3 in Stockholm.
In the fifth minute, Hammarby's Sofia Reidy headed home to make it 1–0 - nicely assisted by new signing Vivienne Lia.
Five minutes later, Lia herself added a classy goal.
And in the 17th minute, 16-year-old talent Fanny Peterson stole the ball, advanced forward and scored her first career goal for the Swedish women's team.
The away team reduced the deficit in the second half when home defender Gudrún Arnárdottir headed the ball into her own net against her former club from Malmö.
