About 1,000 spectators had gathered on a nearby bridge, and defied the cold and rainy weather in Emilia-Romagna in northern Italy to watch Hamilton.
Lewis Hamilton left Mercedes after 18 seasons last year. He has become World Champion seven times, the best ever together with Michael Schumacher, and has, among other things, taken the most wins (105) of all time in F1 context.
The Formula 1 season 2025 begins in Australia on March 16.
