Hamas reports to sources that they are open to further negotiations regarding the hostages, reports the Saudi TV channel al-Hadath. Several Israeli media refer to the TV channel.
According to the sources, Hamas has informed mediators that they want to reach a solution regarding both the hostages and the ceasefire.
The talks about the ceasefire have been going on for several weeks in Qatar, with reports of small progress but without any major breakthrough. Hamas said earlier in the week that they can only release all Israeli hostages in exchange for a complete Israeli withdrawal and an end to the war.
On Friday, the US called its negotiating team home from Qatar, where Trump's special envoy said that Hamas's latest response to the negotiations showed a "lack of will" to reach a ceasefire.
