Khalil al-Hayya, the terror-branded Hamas chief negotiator, appears in a clip published by the Qatari Al-Araby Al-Jadeed.
According to Israeli media, he talks about Israel's attack on Qatar in September, which was directed at several high-ranking individuals within Hamas' political branch. Five people were killed in the attack, including al-Hayya's son. That the chief negotiator himself survived was communicated for the first time a few days later.
The attack was condemned from several quarters when it occurred in Qatar, a country that has been a mediator in the war between Israel and Hamas. The White House announced a few weeks later that Israel had asked Qatar for forgiveness for the attack.
