Hamas confirms former spokesman Abu Obeida killed

Israel stated in August that Obeida had been killed in an airstrike on Gaza.

Hamas has not previously commented on the report, but on Monday its armed wing, the al-Qassam Brigades, published a video statement on Telegram confirming the death.
