Terror-stamped Hamas confirms that the group's military chief in Gaza, Mohammed Sinwar, is dead, reports Reuters.
Hamas provides no information on how the death occurred, but has published pictures of him and other leaders from the group and described them as "martyrs".
Israel already determined at the end of May that they had killed Mohammed Sinwar, younger brother of the previously killed long-time leader Yahya Sinwar. He was supposed to have been the target of an attack on Khan Yunis.
