Despite dominance from AIK – currently in third place in the table – it was Halmstad who took the lead with a dream goal in the 20th minute when Pawel Chrupalla put the ball in the far corner.
Nine minutes later, Halmstad counterattacked and a free Naeem Mohammed could easily increase the lead to 2–0.
