The Children and Youth Committee allows school photography in the municipality's primary schools. However, it is up to the principal whether the school takes group photos, student photos and school catalogues. Therefore, things may look different from school to school in the municipality.
"We know that school catalogues and class pictures mean a lot to many people. That's why we have examined the issue politically and decided that the decision should be made at each school," says Magnus Rindom (S), chairman of the Children and Youth Committee, in the press release.
The decision to scrap the school catalogue was made after images from a previous school catalogue were posted on a TikTok account along with offensive comments, which have been reported to the police.
