The 25 states, 23 of which are governed by Democrats, call the tariff threat against 59 countries and the EU, which came in July, a repeat of the import tariffs that were invalidated by the US Supreme Court in February.
After losing in the Supreme Court, the administration is once again trying, illegally, to raise taxes on families and businesses with a new round of tariffs, said Letitia James, attorney general of New York State.
