"I was supposed to write the music and take part in the performance as a musician together with my colleague Håkan Hemlin. But for a number of reasons and changed circumstances in the production, I ended up not wanting to be part of this," Mats Wester writes in a Facebook post.
Wester emphasizes that neither he nor his music will be part of the musical.
Håkan Hemlin, the singer in Nordman, will still appear in the musical. "Production is continuing according to plan," the production company Dröse & Norberg says in a press release.
The musical premieres on September 25.
