These are stolen, lost or moved ballots, the authority tells TT.

A quarter of the incident reports concern vote handling, such as the review of early votes, mishandling of ballot receipts and the voter register.

Other incidents, about seven percent, concern reports of unauthorised influence, such as a relative trying to influence how someone votes. It also involves electoral secrecy, unauthorised propaganda and vandalism.

In this year's election, it is mandatory for the election administration, which is responsible for all incidents, to report suspected irregularities for the first time. This means that this year's election incidents cannot be compared with previous elections.

There is no information that this year's election incidents have affected the preliminary election results.
