It didn't go well for cross-country skier Johanna Hagström in the Olympic sprint; she was eliminated in the quarterfinals. "It's tough," said a tearful Hagström.

There could have been four Swedish skiers in the final. But after performing almost perfectly through her quarter-final, Johanna Hagström suddenly lost her rhythm on the run and was passed by both Coletta Rydzek and Milla Grosberghaugen Andreassen.

Hagström was eliminated by a narrow margin.

Afterwards, she was devastated.

"I don't really know what's going on. I'm losing a little too much in the sprint. It's heavier than in the prologue. It's just frustrating," she said.

It was a Swedish medal sweep. Linn Svahn took the gold ahead of Jonna Sundling and Maja Dahlqvist.
