Johanna Hagström is back in World Cup contexts after a brief pause during the Tour de Ski. And she's back with a bang.
In the prologue of the sprint in French Les Rousses, the 26-year-old was the fastest of all, closely followed by German Laura Gimmler. Even behind her, it was Swedish, twice over. Märta Rosenberg delivered a successful prologue and was the third fastest of all, and Jonna Sundling came in fourth.
It went worse for Jessie Diggins, who didn't make it through. The American has reported that she's struggling with a foot injury and was forced to adjust her skiing accordingly, but without success. Diggins finished the qualifying round in 40th place.
Emma Ribom came in tenth and Maja Dahlqvist twelfth and are both moving on. Moa Hansson, on the other hand, didn't make it through from the qualifying round.
On the men's side, all Swedish skiers made it through to the finals. Edvin Anger was the best and finished fifth in the prologue.
