Häcken midfielder Jóhanna Fossdalsá Sørensen will miss the Damallsvenskan gold struggle. She is cruciate ligament injured and will be operated on.

Then awaits a rehabilitation period of up to one year.

It was in Saturday's match against AIK that Sørensen had to step off just before half-time with a suspected knee injury, which is now confirmed to be a cruciate ligament injury.

”It feels pretty tough, of course. I had mentally prepared myself that it could be serious, but you always hope that it's not the cruciate ligament. But now it's happened and you have to accept it”, says the 19-year-old to the club's website.

The midfielder was born in the Faroe Islands, but plays national team football for Denmark.

Hammarby leads the Damallsvenskan with 45 points, two ahead of Häcken who have one match less played.
