Häcken are in outstanding form in the women’s Swedish league. Maja Bodin is too. The Hisingslaget were going for their tenth straight victory, and summer signing Bodin had scored her sixth goal in four games for her new club.
But Malmö did not give up without a fight and, with just a minute left, managed to equalise, which shook up the title race.
Charlotte Grant scored after a messy situation in Häcken’s penalty area, which goalkeeper Jennifer Falk misjudged.
Despite the draw, Häcken retains the league lead. Hammarby are close behind and are only two points back. Malmö are in third place, but are a full 16 points behind Häcken.
