There was no celebration – this round. But Häcken remains in the golden seat, after having pushed the gas to the bottom and overcame Linköping with 4–0. We wanted to score quickly, says Monica Jusu Bah to Viaplay.

The golden opportunity was – for the day – actually gone from the start. But Häcken still set full speed against the visiting bottom team.

It ended with a perfect response to gold contender Hammarby's victory a little earlier on Sunday.

After just two and a half minutes, the first Häcken goal came, when Alice Bergström drove the ball in from the right and served a perfect pass to Monica Jusu Bah.

However, Häcken did not attach much importance to how the other teams fared in the gold battle at that time.

The focus is clearly on our match, so we don't care much about it, Monica Jusu Bah said to Viaplay at halftime.

Schröder two-goal scorer

A few minutes after her opening goal, national team colleague Felicia Schröder finally broke her goal drought, which had lasted since the end of September.

The shooting queen ran away from her defender on a deep pass from Anna Anvevgård and scored 2–0 – her 28th goal in the women's Swedish league this season. In addition, another goal came from the 18-year-old at the start of the second half, from the penalty spot.

In other words, when Anna Anvegård scored 4–0 with a quarter of an hour left to play, the match was long overdue.

Malmö missed the chance

The fight for gold, however, is alive, as Häcken needed help on the trot so that the gold could be won on Sunday.

It certainly started well from Hisingslaget's point of view, when Malmö FF fell to Piteå and thus lost their golden opportunity. However, Hammarby overcame IFK Norrköping 4–0 and kept the fight alive for at least one more round.

Already on Friday, away against table giant Alingsås, Hammarby can also put further pressure.

Häcken – which remains at the top of the table with a four-point lead and superior goal difference – plays away against Djurgården on Saturday.
