With only four rounds left, Häcken are now eight points ahead of Hammarby. Considering that Häcken have won 20 of their 22 games, most people probably understand that it will take a lot for the club to lose the title in 2026.
Anvegård notes that only Häcken themselves can stop the club from winning the title.
"I think we’re playing an incredibly good game. In the first half... it feels like we’re just passing the ball around, and it doesn’t feel like they’re getting into our half of the pitch," says Anvegård.
We were ready for this match, and it was really noticeable from the first minute.
It was noticeable. Häcken started strongly, and in the second minute Anna Anvegård hit the post with a shot from outside the box. In the 11th minute, Maja Bodin hit the same post before Thea Palmadottir sent the rebound into the goal to make it 1–0.
Two-goal scorer
Häcken continued to have the upper hand, and in the 38th minute Anvegård hit the same post once again, after which Tabby Tindell made it 2–0 on the rebound.
In the second half, Tindell scored her second goal to make it 3–0 - and now tops the scoring charts with 14 goals, one ahead of teammate Maja Bodin.
In other words, Hammarby, who won the title in 2023, look set to finish second behind Häcken for the second year in a row. Last year, only four points separated the teams.
“Like a girls’ team”
The disappointment was great.
"They dominate the game and have everything. We look like a girls’ team, we’re terrified and don’t want the ball. We don’t show enough heart, we don’t do anything we should," Hammarby’s Stina Lennartsson told SVT at halftime.
"The first half is among the worst I’ve seen us play," team captain Alice Carlsson told SVT after the match.
When asked if the eight-point lead is unassailable, Carlsson replies:
Yes, I would say that.
