Two points still separate league leaders Häcken and Hammarby at the top of the Swedish women's football league with eight rounds remaining. It is between these two teams that the battle for the Swedish championship gold lies, as the closest challenger, Malmö FF, is 16 points behind the leaders.
Häcken set the tone by beating Vittsjö 4–0 at home.
Two fine plays from Alva Selerud made it 2–0 at halftime. First, Vittsjö's Milla Larsson unfortunately headed the ball into her own goal and, a few minutes before halftime, Selerud found teammate Emma Östlund, who headed in the 2–0 goal.
Maja Bodin and Tabitha Tindell each scored in the second half.
A little later on Sunday, Hammarby also won comfortably away against Växjö. Fanny Peterson rolled in 1–0 already in the 13th minute and Elin Sørum and Ída Marín Hermannsdóttir rounded off the match with a header each in the second half.
