A week ago, Haaland left the field goalless in a 0-1 league defeat away to Aston Villa. Prior to that, the striker had scored in nine consecutive games for club team Manchester City in the league and Champions League.
At home against Bournemouth, Haaland scored his twelfth Premier League goal of the season when he was given a free kick in the 17th minute.
Tyler Adams did get in the way with an equalizer, but in the 33rd minute the Norwegian broke through again and scored the 2–1 goal. In the second half, Nico O'Riley made it 3–1.
With a total of 13 league goals, Haaland tops the scoring league by far – seven goals ahead of a quartet of players.
For Bournemouth, it was only their second league defeat of the season. The surprise team lost their opening game against reigning champions Liverpool, but since then they have won five and drawn three.
The team is fourth in the table with 18 points. Manchester City is second on 19 points – six behind league leaders Arsenal.
