Haaland urges Manchester City to stay positive and united amid financial breaches case

For the first time since Manchester City were found guilty of more than 100 financial rule breaches, star player Erling Braut Haaland has spoken out. "We have to be positive, look forward and try to win games," Haaland said in an interview published on City's website.

The Norwegian avoided the media during the latest national team training camp. But now Manchester City have released an interview with the striker ahead of Sunday's big away match against Liverpool.

"No matter what happens in life, we have to be happy. We have to spread love to each other," Haaland says.

“We must stand united.”

On September 25, it became clear that Manchester City would be found guilty on 114 of 115 charges of violating the Premier League's financial regulations between 2009 and 2018.

However, no penalty has been imposed, and City have announced that the club will appeal the decision.
