The Norwegian goal machine received a severe blow in the duel with Bournemouth's Lewis Cook on Sunday.
Haaland was forced to make a substitution. He had just made his 30th goal of the season and equalized the FA Cup quarterfinal to 1–1. Omar Marmoush, Haaland's replacement, then shot City to the semifinal against Nottingham.
Today's X-ray examination revealed that Haaland needs to see a specialist to get a more accurate diagnosis of how badly injured his foot is.
Manchester City does not want to set a timeframe for how long the Norwegian will be out of play, but the hope is that he will make it back in time for the season finale and the summer's World Championship for club teams.
