The successes of recent weeks on the other side of the Atlantic have left their mark on the 25-year-old.
"It's been fantastic. The achievements are one thing. Beating Brazil is one thing, but I think the way we put Norway on the map is what moves me the most," he says, according to VG.
In the streets around Norway, the team was celebrated despite the exit, and Haaland has difficulty taking in the images from Oslo, among other places.
"This has changed Norway. It has changed me," he says.
Haaland scored seven goals during the championship. Now he will try to carry that into the next 40 days.
It's the coolest thing I've ever experienced. I think all Norwegians appreciate it. I hope it brought the people closer together. We should be proud, but also learn from it.
