Norwegian star striker Haaland has been heavily burdened by the tight match schedule during the Nations League campaign.

Against Portugal, the 26-year-old was substituted after 67 minutes and left the arena half an hour after the final whistle, according to TV2 Norway.

Haaland travelled to England with his national teammates and Premier League colleagues Sander Berge, Martin Ødegaard and Kristoffer Ajer.

They need to breathe a little, national coach Ståle Solbakken said, according to TV2 Norway, adding that the players had a private plane waiting for them.

Haaland scored three goals in four matches for Norway during the Nations League campaign, which ended with one win and three losses.
