The Norwegian star striker is likely to score many goals for Manchester City before his career is over.

The new giant contract binds Haaland to the Premier League champions until the summer when he turns 34 years old. The previous contract was valid until the summer of 2027, but the buyout clause that existed in the contract is now said to have been removed, writes The Athletic.

"I'm very happy to have signed my new contract and to be able to look forward to spending more time in this fantastic club", says Haaland to Manchester City's website.

City's football director Txiki Begiristain:

"Everyone in the club is completely delighted that Erling has signed his new contract. The fact that he signs for such a long time shows our commitment to him as a player, and his love for this club".

According to sources, Haaland will become the first football player in England to earn more than 500,000 British pounds per week, which would give him an annual salary equivalent to approximately 350 million kronor.

The 24-year-old Haaland has had a habit of scoring goals throughout his entire career. He left Molde for Austrian Salzburg, continued to Dortmund before moving to Manchester City in the summer of 2022.

So far, Haaland has scored 79 goals in 87 Premier League matches. In the Champions League, he has netted 23 times in 26 matches in the City jersey.

The past few months have been tough for the club, which after more than half a season is only sixth in the Premier League.
