After 36 minutes of play, Eberechi Eze received the ball outside the penalty area, turned and scored from distance with a half-volley to make it 1–0 at the Emirates Stadium in London.

In the 63rd minute, Arsenal were 2–0 up after Declan Rice intercepted a clearance, advanced and slotted the ball in.

Gyökeres was substituted off goalless in the 90th minute.

Manchester City, in turn, could not overturn a 0–3 deficit at home to Real Madrid. Vinícius Júnior extended the lead for the Spaniards with a penalty and then also made it 2–1 in stoppage time. Norwegian Erling Braut Haaland equalized for the home team.

Chelsea were knocked out after another defeat by Paris Saint-Germain. The French won 3-0 in London - in Paris last week they won 5-2.
