Guns N' Roses' former manager Alan Niven is suing the rock band for their attempts to stop him from publishing his memoirs, Variety reports.

Niven's lawyers claim that singer Axl Rose, guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagen violated a confidentiality agreement that was supposedly signed in 1991.

According to the lawsuit, the rock stars have repeatedly spoken about Niven's time with the band in interviews and books, in violation of the agreement.

Despite this, Nivens claims, the group has had the nerve to stop his book from being released. The ex-manager claims he is now suing his former business partners in order to publish his own book.
