TV profile Gunilla Persson says to TT that she has applied to Melodifestivalen next year.

I hope and believe that I will be included in Melodifestivalen 2026. I have submitted a contribution. It is Adam Woods who has written the song. It is really, really good, says Gunilla Persson.

She tells that the song is about, among other things, getting up from the ashes when life is tough. In January, Gunilla Persson's house burned down in Los Angeles. Now she has acquired an apartment near the sea.

One has to start over completely simply. There is nothing else to do. One cannot die, one cannot lie down and become depressed. One has to move on. And that's what my song for Mello is about. It's a very uplifting song, she says.

She believes that the message about whether the song will be included in Melodifestivalen will come within a week.

I think it will be me who gets to sing again on the big stage, I really hope so, she says.
