The alarm about a suspected shooting came in at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. On the scene, police were able to determine "that people had been hit."
At 11 p.m., police reported that two people were injured. According to Region Skåne, a man in his 20s is being treated for serious injuries, and a man in his 50s is being treated for minor injuries in hospital.
Several media outlets are reporting that three people have been shot, but this has not been confirmed by the police.
Other media reports claim that a suspect was arrested in a taxi on his way from the scene.
"It's nothing I can comment on at the moment," Palmgren said at 11 p.m.
A major police operation is underway and the area adjacent to the crime scene has been cordoned off.
The incident is being investigated as attempted murder.
The police have not ruled out the possibility that there may be multiple perpetrators and are reviewing camera footage.
