Over 14,200 participants have registered. There are approximately 15,800 starting places and registration is possible right up until the start, subject to availability.
+ Cheaters are hunted down
Technical controllers will be on the course to stop skaters from skating during the race. Skaters who break the rule risk a verbal or written warning or, in the worst case, disqualification.
+ New rope rules - more finish line?
In Smågan, the so-called rep time is increased by 30 minutes, from 10 hours and 30 minutes to 11 hours. The aim is to help participants who start at the back of the field.
+ Can Myhlback and Nilsson repeat their success?
Last year, there was a Swedish double victory for the first time in 14 years. The then 18-year-old Alvar Myhlback became the youngest winner ever, and Stina Nilsson won the women's race. The last Swedish double victory before that was in 2011, by Jörgen Brink and Jenny Jansson. Could this be a new Swedish success?
