Philadelphia has struggled in the NHL, with several consecutive losses and noticeable scoring problems at home.
At least until tonight.
After a 4–2 loss to Washington, the team picked up a long-awaited win. Swedish forward Carl Grundström played a big role, scoring to make it 2–0 in the second period.
Washington - which was coming off three straight wins - managed to tie the game, but the home team pulled away again in the final period.
