The ground around the landslide on E6 outside Trondheim in Norway has been stabilized. On Monday, a meeting will be held to determine if the residents can return to their homes.
According to the geologist, there have been no movements recently. They use a drone that takes 3D images that can then be compared to the previous position, says Bjørn Rune Sellgren at Trøndelag police district.
The landslide occurred on Saturday morning and completely destroyed E6 and the adjacent railway. A Danish man who worked to investigate the ground's stability is feared to have perished in the landslide.
Several houses were also evacuated in connection with the landslide.
