A man and a woman have been detained following the discovery of a larger quantity of grenades in an apartment in Malmö. Several firearms and a quantity of narcotics were also found, reports Sydsvenskan.
It all started with a tip from private individuals about a man who was behaving suspiciously, says Malmö police's press spokesperson Nils Norling. A search warrant was then executed in an apartment in the Hyllie district.
We have a high conflict level in Malmö right now. The fact that we can perform this type of control means that we detect, we interrupt and we can also prevent serious violent crimes, says Norling to TT.
The detainees, a 27-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, are suspected of extremely serious offenses against the law on flammable and explosive goods, serious weapons offenses and serious narcotics offenses.
