The incident is being investigated as causing another's death by the special prosecutor's chamber.
Previously, the leader of the preliminary investigation Joakim Zander has stated that no one is suspected, but Zander does not want to comment on that matter today, according to P4.
The death occurred in connection with the police exercising at the ground combat school in Kvarn outside Borensberg in Östergötland. According to information to TT, it was a so-called distraction grenade that caused the death.
The deceased was not employed by the Police Authority, but participated in the exercise as a volunteer.
