MP wants Sweden to meet its climate goals by 2030. This requires both a greater mix of biofuels and increased fuel taxes, according to the government's investigators.
"Partly we want the temporary tax cuts to disappear, partly it's the inclusion of renewables in the idea," Amanda Lind says to SVT.
The disappearance of the temporary tax cuts this fall means that the price will rise by four kronor per litre. The increased blending means that the price will rise by another two kronor, according to the party's calculations. In total, that would be six kronor, compared with today.
"We don't see this as something that will happen overnight, but in a controlled manner," says Lind.
She emphasizes that the increases should be combined with "a green bonus."
"So support for people who live in rural and sparsely populated areas, and people with lower incomes even in cities, so that they can be compensated for this."
Amanda Lind emphasizes that fuel will become more expensive this fall regardless of what politicians do, since the government's tax cuts are temporary.
"This is something that all parties are shying away from today."
